The westernmost neighborhood in the City of Santa Cruz is known, unsurprisingly, as the Westside. It is bounded geographically by Monterey Bay on the south, Moore Creek (the city limits) on the west, UCSC on the north, and the bluffs on the east that drop down to the San Lorenzo river floodplain. However, Mission Hill - also sitting on the bluffs - is usually regarded as a separate neighborhood.
- The Sidewalk Companion to Santa Cruz Architecture (2005 book). Chapter Nine is titled "Westside", but parts of the geographical area described above are in Chapter One (West Cliff Drive...) and Chapter Four (Mission Hill).
