Percy T. [Todd] Phillips (1869-1934) was an M. D. who (according to info on Find-a-grave) came to Santa Cruz in 1905 to enter a medical practice with his brother William (also an M. D.) which lasted for 10 years. Phillips was involved with Mary Jane Hanly in the creation of Hanly Hospital, located at the corner of Bay Street and West Cliff Drive until the site became today's Dream Inn parking lot. Later, Percy Phillips partnered in practice with Alfred Phillips and two others, but left that group before they had an office building constructed in 1930. In 1933, Phillips and wife Ruth had a house built on Laurent Street - probably the last local William Weeks design.
