Wilson, Dorothy D.

Dorothy Sarah Deming (Wheeler) Wilson (1895-1975) was the daughter of Henry and Josephine Deming. Her first husband was a cousin, Deming Wheeler. With second husband E. Forbes Wilson (1896-1970), she built "Windy Hill Farm" on land adjacent to today's Pogonip open space preserve. Mrs. Wilson founded the Pogonip Polo Club in the 1930s, when the area was the privately-owned Pogonip Country Club.
