Owen Tuttle, born in Ohio, came to California in 1850, and to Santa Cruz County in 1872. He and his brother Daniel were well known in Pajaro Valley/Watsonville affairs, and one or both were members of the Galoot Club.
- An editor's note following Owen Tuttle's bio in Category:Santa Cruz County History Journal Number 4 clarifies that this is not the same person as Owen S. Tuttle, listed as a school trustee in Santa Cruz County, Calif. Illustrations, with Historical Sketch (1879 book).
