Nicholas Andrew Uren (1827-1915, Harrison p.270), born in Cornwall, England, came overland to California in 1850, and to a farm in the Pajaro Valley (maybe in Monterey County) in 1856. The Harrison bio, titled "Mr. and Mrs. N. A. Uren", includes wife Elizabeth (Dorris) Uren, born in New York. The couple met in Wisconsin before coming west. Five children - all boys - lived to adulthood, and four remained in the area: Joseph, George, James, and John.
