Lucius D. Holbrook (1832-1901, Harrison p.307-08), born in New York, came to Watsonville in 1859, worked as a carpenter for many years, then became a lawyer and notary public. He was a judge in Watsonville Township from 1866-82, and a Justice of the Peace. He is noted in Harrison as a member of the "Galoot Club" an informal Watsonville organization.
