Titus Hale (1834-1925) came to California in 1849, and to Santa Cruz County in 1855. He left this area in 1870. Hale was a property owner, farmer, "commission dealer", Soquel Landing wharf-extender, Santa Cruz Railroad (SCR) investor, and entrepreneur during his years in Santa Cruz County. The Find-a-grave page reproduces Hale's Society of California Pioneers autobiography.
