Gann, Nicholas B.

Nicholas Broyles Gann Sr. (1807-1887), born in Tennessee, came to California with his family in 1847, and first came to the Santa Cruz area shortly thereafter. After some time spent in the Stockton area during the gold rush, the family returned to the Soquel area in the 1850s. Riptide says that they moved to the Gilroy area in 1868, but gives no date of return to our area. Gann, his wife and the two youngest of their four children are buried in Soquel.
