Constine, Joseph

Joseph Constine (Harrison p354) came to Santa Cruz in 1884 and established a large grocery business, fronting on both Pacific Avenue (#43-45-47) and Front Street (#28-30), which was still in business when Harrison's history was published in 1892. The 1894 fire, however, would have burned that building down, and there's no info on Mr. Constine after Harrison. He presumably moved on to another place without establishing permanent residence here, since he's not found in any of the local cemeteries.
