William F. White (1816-1890, Harrison p.301), born in Ireland, came to San Francisco by sea with his new wife in 1849. The couple moved to the Pajaro Valley in 1852, buying "an interest in the Sal Si Puedes Rancho, in company with Eugene Kelly, Eugene Casserly, and others." The Whites built a house, raised a family, and stayed put.
