* [[Santa Cruz County (1896 book)]], has a photograph of "Bonner Stables", It's not yet known where this iteration of Bonner Stables was located. The earlier business by that name was bought by [[Swanton, Albion P.|A. P. Swanton]], and presumably combined with the new hotel in 1884. If so, then the stables burned along with the hotel in 1887. Sanborn maps show nothing rebuilt on that site until the 1911 Post Office.
