J. Aldrich Joscelyn and his wife Juliana were a popular public speaker team in Santa Cruz for a number of years beginning in the 1870s. His wife, calling herself "Mrs. Dr. J. Aldrich Joscelyn" advertised (in the 1882 Sentinel ad at right) as a "medical healer" offering "clairvoyant diagnosis". They maintained joint offices at their 1884 hexagon-shaped Sycamore Street home, which survives today.
