Lucien Heath (1819-1888) came to Santa Cruz in the 1860s, with wife Jane and children Charles, Alice, and Frank. Brother Albert, a former Civil War officer. also came to Santa Cruz. Lucien became a successful hardware merchant, as did son Charles.
