Charles Henry Heath (1849-1922) came to Santa Cruz in the 1860s, with his parents and brother Frank. He became a successful merchant of hardware and metal products, for many years in the partnership Heath & Byrne.
- Elliott, p.f54, has a drawing showing the "Heath and Byne" [sic] storefront in the McPherson building, which still stands at the corner of Pacific and Locust.
