Charles Henry Heath (1849-1922) came to Santa Cruz in the 1860s, with his parents and brother Frank. He became a successful merchant of hardware and metal products, first (1867) in partnership with William Anthony as Anthony & Heath, and later as Heath & Byrne (full name of Mr. Byrne not yet found).
