Numerous North coast waterways drain the western slopes of the coastal mountains, especially the Ben Lomond ridge system, and eventually empty into the Pacific Ocean. In addition to those linked here, others include:

  • Big Creek - notable as the site of the first local hydroelectric generator, built by the Santa Cruz Electric Light and Power Company established by a partnership that included Fred Swanton.
