Wilder Creek
From Santa Cruz County history wiki
Wilder Creek is one of the many west-flowing small creeks whose deep ravines cut down through the coastal terraces on their way to the ocean. Wilder Creek was renamed for dairyman D. D. Wilder, whose family owned the surrounding land that is now Wilder Ranch State Park. On the 1889 County land-ownership map, described in Names on the Map (2020 book), Wilder was shown as the owner, but the creek was still identified as Meder Creek, for former ranch owner Moses Meder.
