The Potrero neighborhood was the potrero (pasture land) to the north of Mission Santa Cruz, also containing orchards and a native rancheria (the Spanish missionary name for a native settlement). The northern part of the Potrero is now mostly a light-industry zone known as the Harvey West neighborhood. Outside of the Harvey West area, the Potrero neighborhood includes:
