The Casa del Rey apartments on Beach Street in Santa Cruz (better known as La Bahia), were built in 1926, in a 2-story Spanish Colonial style with two interior courtyards. The apartments were built by the Seaside Company as longer-term visitor accommodations. In more recent years, the apartments served as Seaside Company employee housing. In 2024, construction continues on a conversion/expansion of the apartment site into a major hotel.
