Santa Cruz House
From Santa Cruz County history wiki
Santa Cruz House was possibly the first Santa Cruz hotel, under its original name of Union House. Prewitt Sinclair is credited with establishing Union House, and its name change came in 1853 (per Riptide) by Luke Aldrich and James Skene. The pair also built the adjoining Franklin House. Santa Cruz House burned in 1887, along with Swanton House. It was apparently rebuilt, but burned again in the big 1894 fire and was not rebuilt thereafter.
