Meyer, Emil E.

Emil E. Meyer, born in Germany, came to the county from San Francisco in 1883, planted a vineyard near the summit in the Rancho Soquel Augmentation area, and built the "Mare Vista" winery. A wildfire destroyed both vineyard and winery in 1899.
