Douglas, Alfred H.

Alfred H. Douglas established the Douglas House hotel above Beach Street in 1883, renaming the Ocean View House he acquired from Thomas Johnson. Douglas sold the hotel in 1887 to David Abeel, who expanded it into the Sea Beach Hotel.
