Lewis, Alexander

Alexander Lewis (1827-1895), born in Germany, came to Watsonville in 1866. He established a dry goods business, building a 2-story hotel with space for his business and the Eclipse Livery Stable at street level. Elliott has a full-page drawing of the building (p.f72).
