E. H. [Edwin Humphrey] Heacock was a county judge from 1872 to 1875 (Elliott, p.77). It's noted in SWC4 that in 1870 he sold a 37-acre parcel to the Alfred and Mary Ellen Barson, which they turned into the Riverside Hotel.
