Walter Graves Byrne was an architect, high school teacher, and Santa Cruz resident in the first quarter of the 20th century. In 1912 (while still a college student), he designed a house for his uncle Walter C. Byrne, on upper Union Street. In 1921, Byrne became a junior partner of Allen Collins, then moved to Los Angeles in 1923.
