Santa Cruz County: A faithful reproduction in print and photography of its climate, capabilities and beauties . . ., by Phil Francis, was published in 1896 by San Francisco: Press of H.S. Crocker. Francis occasionally tended toward the hyperbolic in his local boosterism, but there are photographs and historical information not published elsewhere.
