− | '''Lawrence J. Dake''' ([https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/39426399/frank-lucien-heath 1857-1921]) came to Santa Cruz as a child, with his parents. His brother, [[Heath, Charles H.|Charles Heath]], became a successful merchant. Frank had artistic talent, and became one of the town's best-known oil painters. His wife Lillian ([https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/73845466/lillian-josephine-heath 1864-1961]) died in 1961, shortly after her 97th birthday. The couple were instrumental in founding the Santa Cruz Art League in 1919 (the Art League still exists).
