The 1882 Hall of Records remains today (2021 photo at right; view from Cooper Street), commonly known as the "Octagon building". Just beyond in this photo is the repurposed 1937 County Jail building. The open space to the right is Abbott Square. All three places are now part of the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History complex.
