Thomas Martin (1840-1911), born in Scotland, was a pioneer in the Watsonville area along with four brothers. W. H. Martin may have been one of those brothers, but Thomas was not related to either Edward Martin (also of Watsonville) or John Martin. In 1882, he was visited by Jack Swan.
