The name Rodeo Gulch is commonly used to denote both a creek and the ravine in which it flows. Rodeo Gulch Road follows the creek into the mountains from Soquel Drive. Rodeo Gulch runs east of and parallel to Arana Gulch; west of and parallel to Soquel Creek, and empties into Monterey Bay via Corcoran Lagoon. The creek was the western boundary of Rancho Arroyo del Rodeo.
