Point Santa Cruz
From Santa Cruz County history wiki
(Redirected from Lighthouse Point)
Point Santa Cruz, also known as Lighthouse Point, forms the northern end of Monterey Bay, and is now part of Lighthouse Field State Beach. In 1869, property owner Almus Rountree sold ~10 acres of the point to the US government to be the location of a lighthouse. The photo at right, looking west toward the point and the lighthouse, shows what is now West Cliff Drive entering the lighthouse reservation through an ornamental archway.
